Dinner is called tea in Australia also
Supper is a slang type word in good ole American English…maybe elsewhere too…idk
Where I live supper usually refers to a light meal you have just before bed. Think some posh people call tea supper.
In Scotland a fish supper means fish and chips - the supper part literally means ‘and chips’
Nope my country doesn’t practice tea time…I wonder why? Prolly because our ancestors were the assholes and got banished to america…that’s how we beat England…ahh…the boston tea party…maybe that’s why we don’t say tea for dinner…
I would love to hear american english as a brit. It must sound so weird!
I bet we sound dumb…lol and we say fuvked off stuff…like put that ■■■■ in that ■■■■…meaning put that in there…but in proper talk ■■■■ = ■■■■ so they hear…place that turd in that turd…lol
It’s like in portuguese, brazilian portuguese just sounds like badly pronounced portuguese. Oh god, the grammar! It’s weird to listen to it, and a lot of websites only have brazilian portuguese available as a language.
I say tea instead of dinner.
Lol some words in certain middle eastern languages are hilarious in Egyptian apparently…like most of the names translate into colours in Egyptian…and it was making this giant Egyptian man laugh his ass off reading the others names…
That’s funny
He would also hold his gaint pinky finger up if he was arguing with you…he didn’t lose many
