Anyone read louise hay?

My social worker recommended her. http://www.louisehay.com

I’m reading “you can heal your life.” It has some pearls.

What are some of the pearls?

In my opinion she is crazier than us who are diagnosed!

I agree with @Pamito.

Louise Hay said the causes of mental illness were desire to flee the family and belief in violence. She said these things probably because all Louise Hay knew about mental illness was the stereotypes of our society.

I read Louise hay years ago, but definitely didn’t find it helpful unfortunately.

No I agree that her stuff about illness and that your suffering is because of your thoughts is hocum. I’ll try to find some of the actually helpful stuff.

Okay, I’m skimming through my Kindle and what has been highlighted by people. Rereading this stuff a second time, is not as good as yesterday. The only one that seems like it might be worth taking a look at is:

If a thought or belief does not serve you, let it go! There is no written law that says that because you once believed something, you have to continue to believe it forever.

Even the affirmations are somewhat underwhelming on a second read-around.
