Knives and other kitchen stuff that are sharp, I’m overly careful around cause I know my mind isn’t as sharp (pun not intended) on the medications, I’m afraid of cutting myself and making mistakes. I never leave the knives in the sink with the other dirty plates and cutlery, I always leave them on the bench so I know where they are and hand wash them carefully.
I always put the sharp ends of the knives down when I put them in the dishwasher. Or the drying rack. Sometimes my dad leaves the sharpens up and I’m worried about getting cut.
Yes, but because I was trained to be cautious with knives as part of my chef training. I also keep them as sharp as possible as you are actually less likely to injure yourself badly with a properly maintained knife. It is people who get desperate and hack at things with dull blades that can hurt themselves the most. I also own and use finger shields and cut-proof gloves as appropriate.
Apprenticeship. Three years of learning in the kitchen with attending school for part of the year. I attended SAIT, the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology for the classroom portion.
I’ve got my journeyman’s papers and read seal (interprovincial) but it is mostly for show now. I was half a year in when I was injured and my career cut short.
I still cook a lot and it is bushcraft cooking season for me right now, but I’m not able to pull out counters to clean behind them or scrub down the walls of a cooler now thanks to the back injury. My professional cooking days are over. I can’t lift a lot or bend/crouch too much now.
Back when I was young and dumb. Like maybe 18 or 19, my cousin and I broke a small window on the from door of my house.
Me, being an idiot at the time and all, disposed of the shards in a large garbage bag with other stuff.
At some point, I held the top and spun the bag to close it and get ready for disposal. Unbeknownst to me a shard was poking out of the other side of the bag. So when I spun it , i cut a deep slice in my leg since i was wearing shorts.
It was gross. Deep enough to see the fat and everything. I still have the scar today.
When I was 3 years old i accidentally broke through a window and severed a artery now I have a scar forever I’m trying to figure out ways to get rid of it
I forget if I already posted this before
Does anybody have any ideas on how to get rid of a scar
