I passionately hate seroquel but find that it’s very effective to stop a psychotic episode in it’s tracks.
I was on 600mg at night a couple weeks after going psychotic. I experienced several negative side effects including arrthymia, blacking out, feeling like a zombie and extreme hunger. All I wanted to do while taking it was lay around and eat chocolate ice cream, granted that’s all I want to do when I’m not taking it!
I also blacked out after taking it a couple times. I was on my way to the freezer to grab some ice cream and feel and hit my head.
Be cautious about walking around after you take a dose so you don’t have the same thing happen.
Think seroquel is one of the big sedaters
I’m on Seroquel with Latuda…
There was a time I was on 200 mg Seroquel and that was too sedating. I ended up in some deep negative symptoms.
But the 50 mg Seroquel with the 80 mg latuda has been a very good combo for me. I feel very lucky to have found the right meds at the right dose.
I take a large amount of Seroquel I take 450mg in the morning and 600mg at night. All together I take 1050mg, I find that it works for me rather well. I don’t see the spirits anymore but I still hear them, I’ve been diagnosed as: extremely psychotic not just against myself but to others I create damage. When I first started I had a lot of bad days, at 300mg of Seroquel. I then moved up to 600mg per day, I would always freak out when I saw knives. Now being on over a thousand mg of Seroquel it seems to work.
Seroqel did not work for me, actually the effect from it was so terrible, very hard to explain.
All meds work diff for diff people/ wish you the best with the meds.
I’m on Seroquel 200 mg. But, I don’t take it alone. I also take Risperdal Consta 37.5 mg injections and Geodon 240 mg pills. This regimen seems to work great for me and I have very few side effects. Just dry mouth and very mild akithesia.
