Anyone on Latuda / Fanapt / Saphris?

Hi folks. Latuda (lurasidone); Fanapt (iloperidone) and Saphris (asenapine) are one of the newest antipsychotics on the market. I am interested if someone uses one of these meds and how it works for you. What are the side effects etc.

Best regards.

I’ve taken latuda and saphris.

Latuda I took on top of abilify and it had a bad reaction. Lots of people speak highly of it though.

Saphris I didn’t like but a lot of people like it. It’s weird med you put it under your tongue you don’t swallow!!! Tastes kinda nasty. Made me real tired, at first I took it in morning but then switched to night and it wasn’t as bad but still it wasn’t the right med for me.

I take abilify though. Another new med.

i’ve taken latuda and fanapt. i’m currently taking latuda. i took fanapt for a few months. the problem with fanapt was it made me very sick to my stomach. i was even hospitalized from the stomach cramps, diarrehea and vomiting.

Latuda is the best one of those in my opinion. Never tried fan apt but saphris is garbage and latuda seems to work pretty well with milder side effects

I’ve never tried Latuda, Fanapt or Saphris, but I have tried Vraylar - out of the Newer APs.

Vraylar was way to activating for me!

I may try Rexulti next.

I tried latuda and saphris, neither worked great and both caused crazy fast weight gain.

I tried latuda for like a day, thats the way it is in these hospitals, they try you on medications for a fraction of the time they take to build up in your system and make a verdict based on placebo. I was on saphris for like a week, overall seemed like a good medication but I was only on it for a week so take that with a grain of salt.

I was on Saphris it didn’t work for me
