I relapsed two months ago. Or more. And was immedistely put on supposedly 10mg aripriprizol. Etc. So the backlog of meds is much higher now than g a day as aripriprizol has a longer half life of two weeks per day of meds. I think.
sciztuna I don’t know if you have heard about Fanapt(Zomaril illoperidone) but the drug companies selling point is that it’s the one antipsychotic with the rarest cases of akitisia of all antipsychotics ever made.I just had to tell it to you because you’ve got psychosis and akatisia is keeping you from seeking proper treatment.
Thank you for the suggestion @columbus
. Never heard of Fanapt, but it sounds promising. Will do a little research and see what my pdoc suggests as well. Thanks again and hope you’re well
.
I wish, but at the same time, I am extremely grateful for having been born in a age with meds. Meds are a little bittersweet sometimes is the best way i can describe it. I’ll probably be on them for the rest of my life, as 20mg of haldol and 42mg of caplyta barely does the trick.
John Raven you see I’ve got a schizophrenic mother so I know the illness runs in my family, But let me tell from my personal experience it do get better by time with the proper treatment. I’m on a combination of a 1. And second Gen. Antipsychotic as well that calms me down because I get hyper active without the drugs. If you want to improve your brainhealt you must stay on antipsychotics because every break from meds is toxic to your mind.
People can go off meds, but should only do so with medical oversight in case they relapse.
