I am lactose intolerant.

Yeah, diarrhea is definitely a symptom of it. If you can eliminate milk from your diet for a bout 2 weeks and see if your stomach feels better and then reintroduce milk and see what happens. That is the do it yourself way of testing. You could also go to a Dr and get tested for it.

If milk bothers your stomach all is not lost. Remember, it is the sugar in milk that would make you lactose intolerant. So, it might only be milk, fresh cheeses and ice cream that you need to remove from your diet. You probably would be able to eat hard aged cheese like chedder or swiss because the milk sugar is significantly reduced.

Also, try taking lactaid tablets. I used them for years to enjoy eating ice cream again.

I have noticed it for a while but done nothing for it. Im also quite gassy usually and im wondering if this is why

Yeah, lactose intolerance can produce gassy and bloated feelings that are just chronic.

Get dairy out of your diet and see how you feel.

Hope you get to feeling better soon. Lactose intolerance is no fun!

Both are great choices if you are lactose intolerant.

Lactaid milk, especially, is great because it tastes identical to regular milk.

Good luck!

I dont know what else it could be tbh. I get alot of acid reflux tbh

Acid reflux is a trickier symptom. It could be lactose intolerance but it could also be a lot of other things.

Just get lactose out of your system and see if the acid reflux goes away. If it doesn’t then you should get it checked out by a Dr.

Its when ever i have pastry products tbh

It is possible you have more than 1 stomach issue.

I would say get it checked out with a Dr. They can do allergy testing and figure out exactly what foods you are reacting to.

I was anaphylactic allergic to dairy for the first 20 years of my life. I’m 22 now, and I’m not that allergic to it now, really only high concentration of Whey gets me a reaction.

I would react with diarea when I consumed too much when I was younger. So I stopped it for several years, but then came back to it, but in less amounts, and it went ok.

I’m allergic to dairy. But it just makes me get really congested in my noise and coughing up phlegm. Right now the only dairy I really have is whey protein powder because I couldn’t find any non whey protein powder at the store and sometimes I have a quesadilla.

I’m lactose intolerant too

For some reason, I can’t even have lactose free dairy. It makes me sick for days. I have to avoid all dairy, including foods that have been processed in the same plant as foods with dairy

That is different. Some people are reacting to all dairy I think, due to the protein in it. Not the sugar. You can get tested for that. That is a dairy allergy which is very different from lactose intolerance.

Oh wow. I didn’t realize the protein was the problem.

Not long ago I ate a meat stick that had no dairy in it. I got super sick. Looked into it and the meat sticks were produced in the same facility as a dairy product. It’s really bad. I get sick shortly after eating any amount of dairy and it lasts a long time. Even my meds have to be dairy free. But I didn’t know I could be tested for that. I did the elimination and reintroduction test to figure it out

Yeah, what you are describing is not simply lactose intolerance.

I could be wrong about it being protein in the dairy, but I think that is what it is.

That’s a pain in the neck that you have to make sure all meds are dairy free.

im not lactose intolerant but i drink a lot of milk. some days if i have too much my digestive system goes crazy, i think too much dairy can be unsettling even if not lactose intolerant

I have milk in moderation because British milk contains a lot of iodine, and it can vary throughout the year. I do like milk though. It used to make me feel a bit off but I’ve changed my diet since then.

I switch between black coffee without milk, to coffee with milk, all the time.

Some people are allergic to milk and it has killed a little girl before because she was allergic to milk and accidentally got serve milk in her coffee, then she died. So sad

I haven’t really got any issues with milk anymore, but I can see why people think twice about it
