I just donāt know anymore Iām so up and down I canāt even identify how I feel.
try exercise it should help altealest walking for half an hour it should improve motivation and energy.try to improve your sex drive it will indirectly increase energy .you can use aphrisodiacs like raw garlic and onions for that
generally conventional medicine is good for positive symptoms and ayurvedic medicine is good for negative symptoms .there was a thread on sarcoisne where i think some people reported some improvement in their negatives .
Sarcosine has nothing to do with ayurvedic āmedicineāā¦
Yes I got better from negative symptoms with taking olanzapine (and amisulpride) . But since my relapse itās come back .
thas right but i was making two different statements .that is why i said generally and not every time.sarcoisne hepls is a different statement.any way sarcosine is also not a drug or an antipschotic either of conventional medicine it follows the glutamte excess theory which matches more with the ayuirvedic cause of schizophrenia whereas antipschotics of conventinal medicine follow the excess diopamine theory
Yeah. For years I had them pretty bad. Very limited attention span, lack of motivation to where it was very difficult to get dressed, have basic hygiene and do other simple tasks, lack of energy, anhedonia to where nothing, even huge wishes Iād always had coming true made me excited or happy anymore. It was pretty textbook.
Geodon was the first thing that ever made me see improvement there. Suddenly I could focus on things for hours at a time again. I had my motivation back and could study well and do my hobbies and I ENJOYED my hobbies. I felt so excited it was like there wasnāt enough time in the day to do everything I wanted to do. Unfortunately though geodon was also highly sedating so this activity only occurred during the rare times which I wasnāt sleeping on it.
When I went off geodon, my old symptoms started to come back which was highly distressing and depressing to me. However when I went on modafinil, they improved a lot again! Lately Iāve been noticing them show up again though which is not fun
They are still not as bad as they were though.
Iāve debated whether or not they were/are true negative symptoms or just narcolepsy. But if it was just the narcolepsy, why would geodon-a heavily sedating med-have improved them? Iām curious about the effect of modafinil on someone with sz or sza not also diagnosed with narcolepsy.
Where do you get modanfil from?
I had real, debilitating negative symptoms.
I did nothing. I didnāt take care of myself. I barely ate.
Now, I have recovered completely.
Itās not impossible. Itās not always permanent. Even if you canāt recover completely like I did, you can get better. But APs are unlikely to fix this. There are no good meds or supplements for negative symptoms. It is up to you.
It took me two or three years to get better. And it wouldnāt have happened if I hadnāt done all that I could to get better or didnāt have social support and therapy.
Start writing daily lists of what to do and do it. It doesnāt have to be much at first, but you need to force yourself to do it and make it a habit. Then you can add more things. Eventually you should add exercise and cognitive stimulation, like reading. Thatās the best advice I can give you. Do it gradually, never accept defeat, be good to yourself, and do all the right things you think could help.
Also, I had much more than just avolition, including cognitive symptoms, but everything started improving once I dealt with this.
I donāt have the time for negative symptoms with my schedule
