My psychiatrist just died he’s been with me since 2005 I told him everything even stuff I wouldn’t tell my family now I need to start all over again I don’t know where to begin

I lived in Australia for 12 years.
I’m duel nationality. I was born in England and moved to Australia when I was 7.
Sometimes I go back.

I can’t even begin to imagine what it must feel like to lose your Psychiatrist after all those years together. I get a new Psychiatrist every six months being in the public system here in South Australia.
I hope you get a new Psych Doc that is as equally understanding as your last one @p4tr1ce .

I’m from an hour north of Brisbane. I’ve a good shrink who’se still pretty young and getting a good one is hard to do around here these days. Still. You find a good one you don’t let them go.

I got lucky when I got sick years ago like 1993. Had a depressive break. Went off meds and lived till 1999 till I went psychotic. Ended up back with my original shrink which was good. I then moved overseas for two years from 2002-4 and came back and still got to see original. I’ve been blessed with a good psydoc for sure…It really helps when your aggresive with your medications etc. I like the man and respect the doctor.

It’s good when you find the right one I just hope there’s another one in my area that’s just as good here’s hoping
@p4tr1ce I’m actually a but off my psychiatrist lately. She seems to think she’s got me all figured out and won’t have a bar of anything I suggest or say. That’s just how I feel anyway.
