Once I took about 800mg before bedtime, it totally knocked me out. I was crawling on the floor. But seroquel didn’t work for my psychosis so I switched to another med.

Yes. I usually end up taking the highest dose. At one point I was on 240mg of Geodon.

16mg risperidone.
90mg abilify.
80mg zyprexa.
Etc.

I remember your crazy doses om! Goodness knows how you survived all that. You must have an iron constitution

Yes, i made it. Haha. Now i am on normal doses
and better than ever.
It’s important to find the right APs.
Huge doses dont help

My top combo was these two simultaneously

800mg clozapine
1200mg amisulpride

Tbh I can’t remember much from my heavy med days. I was very ill at the time.

I totally agree often a huge amount of a med can be unproductive

I was on 1000 mg of seroquel for thirteen years. It physically damaged me permanently. I never realized what a bad doctor I had until it was too late.

Just tried 30 mg abilify for a few days once and couldn’t tolerate it

60 mg Isocarboxide - an mao inhibitor (max dose is 50)
225 mg effexor + 30 mg mirtazapine, a combination of AD called “California rocket fuel”
But soon after my spaceship ran out of fuel.

I take the max dose of Invega since a couple of years. Being on a high dose helps, but also causes side effects.

Dont know what it was - cos i was very drunk at the time in A+E. But got given a jab in the arm, and next thing i wake up 2 days later in the local Mental facility.

I reckon it was haldol. But my god did my head hurt.

I was on 40mg olanzapine (zyprexa)

Didn’t help too much.

I’m now on 400mg clozapine and that’s working well
