A regular dog? 15

Nope. And I wouldn’t advise you to get one. They need to be taken care of.

Yea if you have difficulty taking care of yourself forget the dog. Maybe get a fish.

I dont think its an option in the UK for mental health but my dad was advised many years back due to his impairment

That is why I hesitate. I can barely take care of myself. :lizard::lizard::lizard:

I also can barely take care of myself, I can’t take care of an animal, I would forget to feed and clean him. Also I don’t want to clean his crap. He will die bcz of me so I don’t have any animal.

Most service dogs are trained and low maintenence.

You’d have to feed, water and potty them,

But beyond that, they don’t need much.

Maybe you could do it on a trial basis.

I’m hesitant to get a new dog.
I’ve gotten worse since my psychotic break 4 years ago.

My negatives are heavy.

I definitely wouldn’t do it.

What does she want your service dog to do for you?

Mainly social anxiety and PTSD symptoms. :bear::bear::bear:

I know service dogs are great for PTSD. But they’re extremely expensive.

Mine would come from a Veterans program. So I would take part in the training and it is all free. :apple::apple::apple:
