I’m not sure what it is about it, but at some moments I find it better to listen to music that really ain’t for the faint of heart if you know what I mean (not talking about metal/screamo stuff). Something about people rapping or singing about “bad things” seems to just invigorate me. Not sure if it’s me or my demons that want it.

My taste in music is varied. Lots of foreign language stuff from folk bands of Finland to opera and to Gregorian Chant.

Mainstream music has always sucked. Shitty pop artists get forgotten about within 20 years and suddenly no one cares about them because it was all just hype and peer pressure and not actually about the music to begin wtih.
Id take weird music over formulaic music any day of the week.
I don’t like metal generally but there is some metal that I do appreciate.
