Mainstream music has never been worse. There is interesting music thats new from smaller artists though. Can be hard to find though.
I really like Maneskin, Sturgill Simpson, White Stripes, Limp Bizkit. others if you need more ideas.
I feel like most new music is kind of angsty and angry. I could be wrong.

This is where I am. I’m loving lots of new music, but what charts on my station is often far removed from what you’ll find on a mainstream station.
Even I am not able to connect to new glossy glamourous music.
I like old school rock and metal always. Even my passwords are based on it.

Yeah I cut my teeth with 80’s/90’s alternative and punk but I’ve always had a passion for music listening.
I still pick up on new bands and I refuse to use spotify. I still pay for songs I like and just use youtube and listen to the radio…avoid spotify and streaming people. It cruels most artists.
I don’t listen to a lot of new music, but I like Crash Adams, a pop duo that became famous on youtube
In my younger days I used to be really into obscure indie music, but now a days I just enjoy easy to listen to catchy tunes.
My advice is to listen to what you enjoy and don’t feel bad about it.
Some new music I’ve heard is cool . But since my sz onset I’ve lost touch with what’s popular… Honestly, it’s not even interesting anymore
I don’t get much enjoyment out of life and have no music I’m into. That’s listening to music. When it comes to playing guitar and mandolin I get enjoyment.
