Anyone else have trouble Budgeting their Money?

Way to go on that @Truemist8. That’s great. About healthy eating and caring for your body, are you gluten free? I was reading the other day that eating without gluten helps us with sz.

on another note, if you do decide to keep a written account of your finances I’d be careful where you leave that information. Especially if has any identifying personal information like account numbers and such.

Oh, to follow with another word of caution. @sohare1981 is right, identity theft is a thing. My deal is taxes. Oh, taxes are the spawnchild of the devil. They are so complicated. It’s easy to forget stuff. Care!

I used to sit down at the beginning of each month with a pad of paper and pen and write a budget for the upcoming month. I wrote down all my monthly expenses: food, gas for the car, internet service, phone, credit card payments, TV, miscellaneous. then I wrote down all my income. Then I had my whole money situation right in front of me. I budgeted for entertainment too. But seeing my expenses vs income helped me know what to expect. I also saved all my receipts each month and then at the end of the month I could see my expenses, my income and where I was wasting money and I could see exactly where my money was going. Doing this was very helpful but I got out of the habit of doing this.

I was determined by the government to not be able to control my money. It goes to my husband who then controls the money. If I didn’t have a husband, of have to have a representative who paid my bills and gave me what’s left over. I really hate this.

It’s easier to budget when you get more money than you can spend :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’m fairly responsible. I did blow what I had left over after rent and groceries on video games this month. For some reason I felt like doing that while depressed. But I had everything accounted for. Usually I have money left over at the end of the month.

I think a lot of people have difficulty budgeting their money. There should be basic budgeting classes in school.
For me it’s a case of essentials first then extras if any left over after that.

Thank you for the tip.

I will look into that.
