My psychiatrist prescribed me Metformin, said it was good for weight loss and appetite suppression, since i told him I was eating a lot on Zyprexa.
Anyone else have this med work for them?

I’m about to ask my pdoc to try me on it, I have gained 25% of my body weight and it is making me a slower runner so metformin hopefully will help me lose some weight. Zyprexa is really bad for weight gain, do you think you could try another med, that is a legit reason to switch meds.
I’ve heard Latuda, Abilify and Geodon are known to keep you slim.
I’m on metformin, for high blood sugar. It’s cut down my appetite, but I’m also seeing a dietician, so I’m not sure what to credit with my weight loss over the last year. Probably both.
It didn’t help me with weight just gave me heartburn and stomach issues but hopefully it works better for you
I talked a doc into a small dose. I had small weight loss. Some researchers have said it may slow cancer and aging.
