I go to estate sales and get cheap things left behind. Find a person on a resale site that makes the most money with that item. I copy them. I copy their photos with my items. Photography was not good in the beginning. I had to get a ring light and other lights and learn staging and other things. Now it is very good. I am reviewing financials to discover if I can do that as full time work. I am close. It is a good business. Do you like online resale stores?
I sell stuff I no longer use on Poshmark.
It’s slow-going but has its moments.
I also do not use Poshmark. They are not my favorite. I always have 10 items up. Sales have been steady. I can not do more than 10 at a time.
Do you have your own website or do you use a different reseller platform?
I do not have my own site. I do think about it sometimes. Fees are very expensive on some sites but I use them. It would be very hard to get the same views on my own.
Nice, well good luck in your business endeavors
Thank you. I hope to do resale full time. I do believe I am close to it. Bartending is fun but makes me hate people.
I’d like to move in silence but I think I stand out like a sore thumb
I just go to estate sales directly and bypass resellers as they’re generally not a good deal. I can save at least 50% on used cameras and usually more by doing estate sales myself.
I’ve sold some stuff on Craigslist but it was just stuff i owned and no longer wanted. We also have “transfer sites” up here where people drop off stuff to re-use (it’s basically a dump) and a couple times i found stuff there to resell. But i could never make a business of it…
When I lived in Sweden I sold my second hand clothing on tradera in Sweden .
I had my photo of me in a silver swimsuit up .
I had a good bod then sold the swim suit.
I don’t really sell much now but mostly donate to salvos.
