My mom got me some and just tried it out. Anybody had any success with it? I felt a calming effect after a few minutes. Does anybody else use this?
I used to for anxiety. I became dependent on it. I prefer magnesium turate or however it is called.
thanks a lot, i dunno how i feel about it, it worked pretty quickly though i think. within a few minutes i felt a bit sedated i think…took it about 25 minutes ago, hopefully it’ll continue to get better?
People use it for sleep too.
I used to use it for sleep. One time I had a bit too many and it gave me a horrible stomach ache.

You should be okay. I think it is one of those supplements that is hard to get an overdose on. Fairly safe.
valerian can be in root form it is also an herb. i think its calming but look it up.
Mr. star loves it to relax before bed. I tried it a few times, but it gave me migraines so I stopped.
Don’t mix it with alcohol or Tylenol, and ask your doctor if it interacts with your other meds. It breaks down in the liver, so other things that break down in the liver should be avoided.
@anon92887483, Once, many years ago, I quit taking my psych meds and substituted with Valerian root and St. John’s wort. That experiment ended in total failure, a long term hospitalization, and a quick return to my psych medications.
