Anybody switch from Abilify to Vraylar (Reagila)

How did it go? Was it worth the switch?

It was the third nipple that grew that clinched it for me… :stuck_out_tongue:

(Not really, i haven’t tried either.)

Yes I went through that. It was okay. But I was switched from Zyprexa to Geodon to Abilify to Vraylar and then to Saphris. I had to go off Vraylar because it triggered my heart condition. Otherwise it worked.

I took Vraylar for like a year then I had a manic episode so they took me off it.

Thanks @anon55031185 & @Mars .

I’ll probably stick with Abilify. I can’t find anything on Google either that says it’s a game changer compared to Abilify.

I think it’s one of the weaker ones in general.

I was thinking the same, but abilify seems to work for a lot of people so im staying on it for now

I can’t stand Abilify. I’ve been on it for 9 years. I feel flat as a pancake. It’s not helping my negatives. But I guess the main problem is it’s inconsistent, and I have bad patches and good patches.

I read that vraylar may be better for negatives, but apparently the FDA says it’s not.

Yeah, I’ll most likely stay on it. It’s kept me stable for 9 years. It does work.

I’m having a bad day, and I’m seeing my psychiatrist tomorrow, so I was tempted to talk to them about switching.

Abilify and Vraylar can induce compulsive behaviors, like shopping, gambling, sex

im getting off them with the help of a doctor im already taking Fluanxol for a month I hope the switch succeeds

I had terrible akathisia on abilify. On vraylar I’m ok. No addictions. No compulsive behavior!
