I am a really D grade coder. But I have apps in the appstore for android. All free. Just search Tristrum Andrews. Spoiler* they’re really dodgy and no fun.
Hi.
I’m ok thanks. And you?
I am indeed a java programmer.
What do you need to know?
Html is only a descriptive language… it is not a programming language.
I tried programming in c++ but I did not have the patience to learn.
I think my heart is in programming, even though it won’t make a ton of money.
I want to program input devices, so that requires learning C.
I’m good also. I’m mostly curios about how it affects your life staring at a pc all day? and of course advantages and payment (no need for numbers)
I can code in VBA, but it’s only really useful if you use Excel a lot.
How you’re doing dude? You seem unstable lately from my subjective opinion… I might be wrong
Money is good, or very good.
Staring at a PC all day isn’t very nice.
Lately I’ve had some trouble with concentration. Luckily we have a ping-pong table and we can take breaks and play against each other.
C++ is pretty difficult.
Depending on what you want to accomplish, it can be useful or useless.
Most PC games and some mobile games are written in C++. But for games you could also use Unity (and scripting in C#). And if you want to write dynamic websites, maybe PHP would be better suited?
Last time i actually programmed was 25 years ago using Dbase - with a Front End on it called DataEase. I wrote a program for the local council that managed all the car park permits. Would not have a clue now - so dont even bother trying.
Thank you.
After html css I will try Javascript and php
After that maybe Java for Android games
These are all the Android apps I have made so far using rfo-basic… Java is still a huge puzzle to me. I might try Unity or another game engine someday.
I am all good, and you?
I am fine. What makes you think I am unstable???
in 2010 i went to my local college for web development. we used a GUI called dreamweaver for designing websites. but before i went to college for it i remember i could basically do all the coding in notepad and build a website from scratch that way. i remember in java class i wasnt as good at programming as the other people tho and mainly stuck to web design so idr taking a C programming class but havent really picked up on computer science in many years. although a few years ago i did take a course on computer programming from one of those online career schools that are cheap but i didnt finish it. i remember one of the programs i learned to make was a tax calculator for a car tire shop that would calculate the correct price then add the tax. thats probably the most programming i have ever done but have done a lot of coding when i was going to school.
Hi.
Do you have a blog or a youtube channel for advertising your apps?
I notice you have 10k+ downloads for some paid apps. I don’t think you’ve jist been lucky.
So what’s your secret?
Learned c++ and java in college, taught myself vba which I used thruout my career as an accountant, and then I picked up the most awesome language: autohotkey. Used that to automate actions in an mmo I was playing
I’m learning C++ and R currently (since it’s syntax-based rather than UI menu driven). I took Python in HS, but it’s all changed so much that none of my sparse memory of it works anymore.
Have you ever worked from home for unknown people. In that site where ppl can pay you and rate you, I’m forgetting the name of the site.
I plan to start there in a few months
I created my own website via html.
It was a self learning process.
On one of my web pages I gave an option such that if you select it, the page smoothly self scrolls in steps while via audio I describe each section being shown and then move on to the next section with the auto scroll. Basically it therefore looks pretty much the same as watching a video. In fact, Google classified it as being a video. I have not seen anyone else come up with such an idea over the last 10 years or so.
It’s sort of like having a webpage being read for you while it auto scrolls. In fact it says, “Too tired to read, then just click on “Watch/Listen” to begin a quick web page tour.”
