Has anyone heard of lybalvi? It’s Zyprexa with another medication combined and it supposedly is not supposed to cause the weight gain I think? (If I am understanding this correctly, I am kinda confused though?!). Can anyone understand what this med really is? I want to ask my dr about this ASAP. I take the zydis Zyprexa currently but I’d switch to this in a heartbeat! (If I’m understanding it correctly)

I was going to ask my psychiatrist to prescribe it to me but with further research I found out that Lybalvi is still a big weight gaining med but it’s a little better than Zyprexa that’s all.
I’ve decided not to switch meds.
I’m sticking with Risperdal

Yeah I apologize.
If You are already on Zyprexa than Lybalvi would be a good alternative.
Weight gain and metabolic issues should be less than Zyprexa alone.

Zyprexa works well for me. I’m on zydis. It’s a wafer you put under your tongue with the idea it hits your bloodstream out of your gut. I’ve actually lost weight on zyprexa. Risperdal was horrible for me. Gained mega weight and had the zombie brain.
We are all different with these meds so sometimes they are worth trying for better function…but you may pay the price.

Thank you! I found out my insurance does not cover this medication. Which is rotten of them. I will still ask my dr about it though. Maybe she can do something. I’m not sure.

Can you get a prior authorization from your doctor?
My insurance covers it but I need a prior authorization.

Hello! Zyprexa zydis works very well for me too. I also take the melting Zyprexa pill. It is so nice to talk to someone who does well on Zyprexa and who has not too much trouble from it. Thank you for the information about how the Zyprexa zydis works too. That’s interesting!
I too am losing weight on Zyprexa! I gained a lot of weight on seroquel and now I’m losing that weight finally! (slowly but surely!)
Zyprexa just really helps me and I’m glad it helps you too. I hope this new form of Zyprexa will be covered by my insurance soon. That’s too bad. How rotten of my insurance.

Oh thank you for the information! I will most definitely ask my dr if she can help me get it covered then! Maybe I just need a prior authorization! Oh wow I didn’t think of that! I really thank you! I’ll let you know if it works! I see my dr in about 2 weeks I believe.
