Anybody alone on thanksgiving

I’m alone on thanksgiving. I could have gone with my dad to see some of his friends but my social phobia kept me from going.

Best of luck. I feel alone around my family. Maybe you can make a meal for yourself and enjoy the quiet.

I’m sorry to hear of this @Jake, but you could still make the best of it.
Watch your favorite Movies, or listen to music that you like.
Make a delicious meal for yourself.

Its just me and my sick elderly parents this year and I kind of feel lonely too.

Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!

Aw I’m sorry dear. Is there anything you can do to celebrate a little. Maybe cook yourself one of your favorite meals or something?

I didn’t get invited anywhere today.

I got invited on tuesday to come over on saturday when I helped my uncle clean up his yard.

We don’t celebrate it, but I had the heating repair man replace my leaking bedroom radiator today, so I no longer wake up cold.

I’m with mrs moonwalker but it feels like we’re alone because for my entire life thanksgiving was a big event at my parents with around 20 people and this year I’m in Portugal and not able to fly and visit because of pregnancy reasons. TBH thanksgiving always stressed me out and recently I’ve been spending most my time in the bedroom but it feels strange

That makes two of us… I’m alone with my dog on Thanksgiving.

I was supposed to go to my sister’s to celebrate it but when I found out her new husband’s parents were coming too, I opted out. You see, I wasn’t at the wedding bc I was in a deep psychosis texting her crazy things and apparently her in laws know. The problem is they’re extremely nice, it’s just hard for me with the social anxiety I now have to have the confidence to be around strangers that happen to know some details of my mental spiral downward…

Apparently they have some mental health issues in their family too. I laugh bc to the normal person the ‘worst’ is if someone has bipolar disorder; no one ever fathoms schizophrenia or any of the symptoms I have/had. But this does make me feel a little better.

I’m finally switching to Latuda as of tomorrow which is great news tho, because this social anxiety and fear that I have seems to be medication induced over the past 3 months.

I still feel lonely tho. I have all the stuff for a thanksgiving meal for 4 ready in my fridge I just have to heat it up from Whole Foods. The problem is I’m not hungry and I’m still a little depressed even after working out this afternoon.

Happy thanksgiving tho! My hopes are that by Christmas and for sure next thanksgiving things won’t be as lonely. I’m going to smoke some weed and take a klonopin to enjoy the rest of the day. You should too! Jk

Yosemite and I have are own Thanksgiving tradition. For the last several years. I have ate Thanksgiving dinner out, while Yosemite wait in the SUV. After that we hit the loop trail that goes to Mini Sauk Falls. It is a rough trail of a 3 mile loop.
Before we left on are hike, I knew it would be are last hike there. If he is still here next year, he will not be able to make it.
I was a nice but sad day.

A couple of times, while we were coming back up from the falls. We had to climb up some rocks… I tell him get your front up there and I will bring up the rear.

I did not have food today. Not enough in the fridge, car broke down, and no delivery places were open. The only thing I ate was some pizza rolls.

I’m sorry @anon1571434. I hope you have a really good Christmas! :christmas_tree:

Very sorry to hear, it is hard to be alone on the holiday … Make yourself a holiday eve alone, make or order nice food, put candles or decorate the house … Even the holiday atmosphere helps
