curious if anyone has heard anything regarding ITI007 or MIN 101
even Evenamide is exciting, oh yes and LU af… whats the dilly yo?
when are the new meds coming our way?
No new news on any of them yet.
But. This article talks about future meds.
And says
Key Findings
– The main driver of growth in the schizophrenia market will be the uptake of novel pipeline products, such as Minerva Neuroscience’s MIN-101, Intra-Cellular Therapies’ ITI-007, and Alkermes’ ALKS-3831. The pipeline products are forecast to account for 36.2% of the schizophrenia market by 2025
thanks, ill check it out
pimavanserin should work for what you got, but ask a doctor im just a nutritionist
it doesnt look too promising @everhopeful. Aside from min1oo1 and iti007 and the Alks drug there aren’t really any good prospects in the next 7 years.
According to the article the issue is the competition for generics on the market.
drug companies have no new incentive because they are making so much money already. Generics and long acting injectables, bot of which I want no part of, control the market.
This sucks!
I read an article which talks about all we’ve got from '17-'19, there isn’t that much mostly what you’ve mentioned. Antidepressants aren’t coming out either. Here’s the article:
Here’s a pdf of a lot of meds that are in development (scroll down for schizophrenia)

Thanks @eduvigis. I’ll have a look.
I feel let down by the lack of progress. As time goes on I realize how much I struggle with some of these so called unmet needs. Cognitive symptoms and negative symptoms still haunt me. Not to mention the side effects of Atypicals which are just unnaceptable.
I’m still early in my illness but the negative and cognitive symptoms take away from my experience of life. I like to read about success stories, people who finally snapped out of it after a number of months. Your story is not one of these, you seem to have deteriorated over the years with little remission.
In my experience very few people actually "step out"
Of the illness. I know two people who have had psychotic breaks and resumed normal functioning.
One was gay and had an identity crisis, and the other was a female who happened to be of genius level intelligence and had a meltdown.
I personally consider myself a success story because I’m not in a home. I can still talk and make friends, date girls and even work. I had to fight to get back to this place though. Oh yea, I don’t have schizophrenia either. I have atypical bipolar disorder.
Psychosis is psychosis though. I can’t really relate to the bizarre nature of schizophrenia and the glaring cognitive and emotional decline, mine is more related to depression and is considered temporary. But, I got a taste of what you are dealing with and its a bitch!
Let me know if you “step out” of the cognitive and negative symptoms in this lifetime. Once you’re a pickle it’s impossible to become a cucumber again.
So it looks like in ten years from now there will be a surplus of meds on the market to treat our illnesses.
Until then it’s ITI and MIN. It looks like ITI is still in clinical trials for bipolar disorder. I wonder if it has antipsychotic potential still.
Yes, someone on this site took sarcosine to a lab and had it tested and it turned out to be sugar!!! And the company that sells sarcosine owns Sz.com Isn’t that wild?
yea very wild. It also doesnt surprise me one bit. They aren’t the first company to prey on the desperate and the mentally ill, I’m sure they won’t be the last.
The problem with sarcosine is that you have no idea if its real or not, your story just proves that. Thank god it was only sugar and not something dangerous.
