Any suggestions? She usually prefers more modern ones, but she does like the old Poltergeist
Fright Night. Scary and funny
Thanks @TomCat!
The Halloween movies, the Friday the 13th movies, A Nightmare on Elm Street and The Shining.
Blair witch project ?
If she likes camp, there is always Troll and Troll 2. I can’t remember what they are rated, though.
She’s seen them all, but I bet she might like to watch one again sometime. Great ideas!
We watched that one about a year ago. It got her into ghost stories
The Exorcist!! That scared the heebie jeebies out of me when I saw it as a kid.
@Ninjastar, There’s a documentary about the legacy of Troll 2. It’s titled, Best Worst Movie, and I just got through watching it. Lot of fun.
Gremlins. So hilarious.
Oh yeah. That one is creepy @Montezuma
We watched Gremlins recently. She liked it. It’s a good one
Groundhog’s Day, (Starring BILL MURRAY), What a Nightmare That Would Be (!!!)… . …
Evil Dead/Army of Darkness
I’ll check that out. Never heard of it @Schizoidman
There are 2 Evil Dead’s and the 3rd one is Army of Darkness. You don’t really need to watch them in order though. Classic horror/comedy from the 80s/90s.
Those movies are a lot of fun!
And you’re totally right in regards to how you can watch them in any order.
Evil Dead 2 is sort of a bigger budget remake of the first one in the series.
Got it. Thanks for the suggestion
The remake of The Evil Dead is good and scary, not campy like the original. But otherwise there’s a series Ash vs. The Evil Dead. It’s 3 seasons, we never got a finale which sucks, but season 3 he wakes up in the Apocalypse I was hoping for that 4th and final season.
Salem is a good show that was cancelled, not like horrifying, but as a witch I appreciate it.
Otherwise you wanna scare a good one out of your stepdaughter try Hereditary or Grave Encounters. Female empowerment try Final Girl with Abigail Breslin, that’s good. Not scary, but a good one to show that there’s a reason for the final girl in most horror movies.
Was it Dawn of the Dead…? Where they hold up in the shopping mall against the zombie apocalypse…so good. Love the old horror…
And. If you like English…The Wicker Man with Edward Woodward was an amazing lo key horror film. If you like gore and stuff…anything by Hammer Horror films back in the day were cool. European horror so lots of cult stuff…
