Does anyone else get heart palpitations? I have anxiety and have had palpitations for years.
I too have had palpitations for years. Funny thing is, that if I take my pulse by placing a finger on my neck, the palpitations stop.
I have a base heartrate of 120, when I have a panic attack it hits 150 or more. I’ve been on heart meds for it to slow it down, it doesn’t. I love going to a new doctor or the ER and watching them freak, then tell them to look at the chart on their spiffy computer and see the notes from cardiologist.
Born with a bad heart, got the genetic suckage from both sides of family. Also am supposed to have a valve replaced but they put it off cause they don’t know how to handle the excessive bloodloss I experience with medical procedures. Last med procedure was the birth of my daughter. Was not a good day for either of us. I ended up with 4 bags of blood, and they couldn’t justify basically wasting anymore because 1 my iron level only went up to 4. And 2 medicaid said they didn’t wanna pay if it was a medical waste. So 6 days in hospital, and 3 days later we found out why still bleeding, 14 inches of placenta left attached and sepsis set in, er had to go in and take it out, no pain meds, just grabbed with a tool and pulled. Took 10 mins, and holy ■■■■, I did all 3 births no pain meds, that was way worse than any part of birth. I thought he was pulling out part of my chest the way it felt.
But alas, lol. If you have palpitations you’re worried about, see if you can see a GP or a cardiologist to weed out any defects.
Heart palpitations are natural for my physical disability. I haven’t had a ECG in a while though.
