Anxiety and Breathing problems

So for the last month or so i started having weird breathing problems and chest pains. I have a tight feeling like im not getting any air in my left lung and my ribs and back are sore, as well as sharp pains randomly throughout my chest. Ive also been having headaches and vision problems and tingling numbness and pain in my fingertips.

I had a chest xray and an ekg which were “perfect” and the doctor listened to my lungs and heart and said it all sounded normal. She said i was just anxious and stressed.

I am currently off meds and doing great mentally, but i recently had a health scare that made me think i had cancer and i had a LOT of anxiety about that, and toward the end of that is when this started. It doesnt make sense to me because even when im not feeling that anxious its still pretty bad, and vise versa, when im feeling very anxious sometimes it doesnt seem as bad. I want to trust what the doctors have told me, but im just so scared that there is an underlying cause that they might have missed.

Has anyone else experienced long term symptoms like this? if so what did you do to make yourself feel better?

Sorry to hear proof

I’ve had plenty of similar ish - maybe not as bad, and i think it’s great that the ekg was sound.

It would be an idea to go back to the dr, but i know some meds which you’re not on and anxiety definitely can cause this

You will probably need to go back on meds - cancer scares like that are symptomatic sometimes
and it sounds like you might be close to a psychotic episode

but i don’t want to put it just on that because what you are saying sounds serious.

however when i am hypochondriacal i take a little tiny fizz of panic as fingers tingling and numbness and pain

i think physical problems would be worse and would be distinguishable
