Antidepressants and emotions and schizophrenia

I was numb, sad and tired, then i began taking Isocarboxide (MAO-i) two weeks after, i was happy, energetic and felt much more like myself (though a little hypomanic).

Unfortunately it only worked for 1-2 years before the effect decreased. But that’s rare.

I think MAO-i should be prescribed more often. It could help a lot of people struggling with depression and numbness, and the diet you have to follow is very easy.

Antidepressants stopped me from being suicidal. That’s quite a succes.

In my case, no. If anything, my AD, Celexa, completely took away my emotion of sadness. It also ended my suicidality.

I don’t think anti depressants can add emotions. They don’t make you happy per se. they just take away sadness if that makes sense. It’s not like it produces happiness. If that was the case people would abuse them.

I’m SZA and had suicidal thoughts till I found celexa as an AD. I still have a bit of emotion. I am lucky. I laugh a lot.

My ADs have actually locked me up. So, even when depressed now, I find it difficult to cry or emote otherwise.

No. Actually it made me feel even more completely numb to every emotion…it left me like a zombie after a while.

No emotion with meds. I take fluxanol depot and blocks my serotonin and dopamine so theonly emotion I have is mental fear. It sucks.
Life with no emotion is so tough, I can not even cry

Zero emotions is not tough. Not to me anyway. What’s tough is too much emotion. In other words, emotional torture.
