Hey, you might want to have a look at this, it is a webpage that talks about several supplements that may work for schizophrenia, all have anti-inflammatory properties and there is word that schizophrenia may be caused by inflammation in the brain. I have already tried tumeric and ginger root and both work well, I will try the rest of these in several days. I am not allowed to post the link here but go on Google and type in The 13 Best-Known Anti-Inflammatory Supplements
I personally believe no one supplement will heal us. Think about it, food also has inflammation or non inflammation properties.
And that’s what makes up more of our ingestion input.
Then there’s other factors like how we manage stress and how we think
And even the air we breathe imo
I know I’m just one patient, but for what it’s worth, no doctor (including mental health professionals) ever mentioned many of these supplements at this site. I think it’s great that many people want to find alternatives to better health … but for the schizophrenic … medications are really the bottom line. Typical, Atypical, and any new anti-psychotics (pass approval and clinical trials).
For me I think the AP, olanzapine causes inflammation. It helps to supplement. Turmeric is good. I like ginger too, but that one can give me acid reflux if I take it too often.
I ordered some shiitake recently because I remember it helped inflammation as well in the past. Will get it soon hopefully.
Typically, we like to leave inactive threads alone and just start a new thread instead. This is different than how some forums are run, but we do it this way because it frequently upsets users to have old topics revived when they are no longer relevant. It can also be frustrating to the person who revived the thread when they don’t get a reply, because the original poster is no longer active or no longer finds the topic relevant. Feel free to start a new thread on this topic.
