Another study linking tats to cancer

The more tats you have, the more likely you are to be diagnosed with cancer. I think this is the third study I have seen over the past year with these same results.

I think its related to coloured tattoos or it doesn’t matter?

Mine are all black with no colour

The color doesn’t matter. Size does matter. Larger than your palm, the more the danger.

I always knew tattoos were bad news somehow. I’ve never gotten any tattoos.

Everything leads to cancer I feel. Express yourself any way you want.

There’s actually good data here.

I’m prolly getting cancer for being bitchy every Monday morning. :joy: i feel like you can decrease your chances but you also need to live a little though. In no way would I look back and think wow I regret that heart on my behind made me get cancer. It will be more like that tattoo did not stretch well with my growing behind and now it looks like a walrus.

I don’t think a person gives up much if they don’t get a tat.

Yeah. I used to be against tattoos but ever since I acquired the 12 inch scar across my stomach from surgery, I wish I could turn it into a tattoo to be less ugly. I was told by my doctors that it would be risky for infections so I haven’t, but I still wish I could make it better.

My shoulder, my knee, my other shoulder, numerous chest surgeries, my thigh (tablesaw accident)… I’ll be the human tattoo if I try to cover them all. I earned them, I’m showin’ 'em off.

I’m glad you have achieved zen about it. My angry and bitter resentment towards the med field is what keeps me going. :joy:

What is the point worrying over it? Waste of energy. I have little enough of that these days so I’m budgeting it as carefully as I can.
