Just started Amisulpride today
Just a question. For those taking Amisulpride have you noticed any weight gain on it?
I dont want weight gain at all costs?

i am taking amisuplride et but i don’t feel any effect from it

I have been on it for two years.
I take 800mg a day.
To start I was weight neutral for a year or so, but I have lost a lot of weight due to starting gym swimming and working doing manual labour.
Only problem is my prolactin is through the roof, but the doctor says the benefits of the drug out weigh the risk.
I rate Amisulpride highly - I have been on 6 different aps and this has been the best so far

Hi @anon39015889 good to hear from you! I’m on amisulpride 200-300mg depending on my symptoms. And I don’t think I’ve gained weight from it. As far as I know it’s not a side effect of amisulpride. The weight I’ve gained was on olanzapine which I’m taking too.

Hi. I take amisulpride since 1999 and I have today morbid obesity. But obesity is a problem on both side of the family so we should not extrapolate side effects that are different for each case. I knew a guy who took 1200 mg of amisulpride a day and who stayed thin and fit. So don’t be scared about weight gain. Wait and see!!

I was in on 1200 mg. Solian for half a year with 400 mg clopixol depo. I did nt gain any weight on it but I got prolactin increase.
now I am on
400 mg qutiapine
120 mg ziprasidone
and 400 mg clopixol depo
and I v got zero psychosis
