I felt very healthy when I wasn’t taking my medication. I was running every morning, taking on new challenges every day, mixing with people and generally succeeding in overcoming a lifelong experience of crippling anxiety.
Unfortunately I was also delusional and ended up making a lot of people very concerned about me, hurting my loved ones emotionally, uining myself financially, ending my marriage, endangering myself… you get the picture.
It’s a hard pill to swallow, but for me its the less bitter one.
I agree. It could be a negative placebo effect.
Sorry, I misunderstood. It may do. I don’t come here every day and try not to overthink things - easier said than done though. I have been dwelling on things more as seeing a psychiatrist soon. Getting daily panic attacks about it. Anyway, sorry for misunderstanding.
No worries.
This forum has the lounge section. So I feel like it’s possible to be on here without obsessing on mental illness
On some other forums I used in the past there was a dedicated recovery section, but I dont think that would work on this forum due to the layout. Would be nice if there was a little corner of the website where people could safely come to socialise and it would be forum rules to keep that part geared towards the positive changes we’ve made etc. Of course, nothing is stopping anyone making more positive posts in general I guess.
Ahhh, there you go! I struggle a bit with the layout sometimes as I’m usually on my phone.
Yeah, having it be your whole life isn’t the best for you. Maybe start scheduling an hour a day when you’re not online and are doing something else. Schedule it every day. Over time, you can spend more time doing other things.
Thanks. @LilyoftheValley
