Almost saw Oppenheimer

We went and I was already apprehensive that it was 3 hours, but my fiancé really wanted to see it and I agree, it probably is best in theaters. But my sz symptoms have been bad today and the place was packed and the lady behind me kept kicking my seat and the guy in front of me laid his all the way back and I just started panicking and we left because he didn’t want me to suffer. I just feel really guilty.

That’s why cinemas are dying. I would have left too.

I’ve accepted I may never go to the theater again.

I really think that era is almost over.

Everyone wants to see things streaming.

Spending too much to see a movie you may not like,

Also risking getting shot, if you’re in the US.

I am a bit, thank you.

@everhopeful @Charles_Foster I kinda feel the same. It just never seems as enjoyable anymore to pay so much and be subjected to rude people and the inability to pause and regather my focus.

If it makes you feel any better, I watched it at the theater and wish I would have just waited for it to become available on streaming. Theater was annoyingly packed and movie lasted 3 dang hours. Felt very uncomfortable by the end of it and my dad did too. It was too long. We both wished there was intermission or something.

@cathart1c that does actually help a lot. Thank you. Right, even in an empty theater 3 hours is a long time. I’ll look forward to seeing it when I can stream it.

Sorry it didn’t go well. Maybe you guys can stream it at home. Connect the lap top to the tv…make some microwavable pop corn or whatever cinema snacks you like.

I saw it in theater when it came out with my brother and his gf. It was too long ended at 1am. It wasn’t too good, average I would say.
