It’s starting to hurt me. To other people we are greedy corrupt ■■■■■■■■ that only care about money. It’s starting to make me feel like I’m a bad person. Sometimes I think they are trying to send messages to me subtly. I need some comfort but I may not deserve it because I’m a Jew.

It’s funny that the jew that a lot of antisemites idolize said all people are evil for not sharing with the poor etc., and needed to believe in him, but believing in him somehow erases the nature that is evil in all of us. Anyway bro, don’t let stupidity get you down.
I have two Jewish friends, Jews don’t bother me at all.
But I’ve noticed the rise of antisemitism on different forums. There are a lot of haters online who wouldn’t dare to come out of their mommy’s basements and face reality.
Since the war in Gaza people seem to hate even more.
These people blame others for their own failures.
Yeah, the war in Gaza and Oct 7th has brought out a lot of hatred of Jews and Muslims and Arabs from the different sides. Be careful not to turn this into a political thread…Taking sides in the war is probably not a topic we want to get into here.

For the existential crisis and self-loathing you can separate yourself from identities to a certain extent. Not deny or reject, but you should have sort of plasticity to use IDs when they are useful to you and not when they are risky for you. Being proud and not suffering are fair tradeoffs

I could easily get political over this, but will just say that the party I’m a member of had a disgraceful reputation for being antiSemitic under the previous leader. Things have improved, but Twitter still has quite a few antiSemites who have been kicked out of the party I support- and use Twitter to say the most awful things about Jews. I block as many as I can. You don’t deserve to be hurt. I hope you, and your family,if you have one, are able to keep safe. Jews have achieved many great things,and will continue to do so.

Where I grew up, I was taught in school that my country was supposed to be the “melting pot”. That all of us in this country merge together with various races, religions and ethnicities and are supposed to join together and be stronger for it.
I hate seeing the divisions among races, religions and ethnicities. I know every country does not have these beliefs of diversity being strength, but my upbringing and schooling lends me to have hope in this concept. It , of course, has not always been held up to these standards in reality here, but I believe the concept is a good one to strive for.
I have no intention of getting into the war and who is right and who is wrong. Or maybe everyone is off base to some degree. but I hate seeing the racial and ethnic divide and how it is affecting my country as far as hate crimes among all the ethnic and religious factions. It has ticked up across the board.
I think the notion of a blanket inferiority or superiority of a particular race or ethnic group is a little dangerous though. As such notions tend to lead to hate and strife. Also blanket Good or Bad. People are individuals who need to be judged as such IMO.

Those who hate on Jewish people can go ■■■■ themselves. I have a lot of Jewish friends and I love their traditions. I even had a Seder meal with them- that felt so special to me.
