So I found some quotes from Albert Einstein that match the way I see it. He also thought kinda like me. It was a very nice surprise to me. I thought I was alone in my affirmations. Maybe this will explain a little better the origin of my user name.
The true measure of a man is the degree to which he has managed to subjugate his ego.
Albert Einstein
Knowledge and ego are directly related. the less knowledge, the greater the ego
Albert Einstein
More the knowledge lesser the Ego, lesser the knowledge, more the Ego.
Albert Einstein
The main task of the spirit is to free man from his ego.
Albert Einstein
The equation for ego is: One over Knowledge.
Albert Einstein
Even trivial events demonstrate strong devotion to the Universe and small concern for ego.
Albert Einstein
my grandmother lived to 96, kidneys, other organs shutting down, and she told her adult kids there at her bedside,
It’s hard to die.
living is all she ever knew.
there was biography attached. i removed it to make it simpler. anyway, i saw a video yesterday that people who have hallucinations and hear voices are in many tribes around the globe guided by the last shama to learn to administer what they consider to be a gift. they know it is a pshycological crisis that will eventually turn that person into the shama for the tribe or community. the healer. very interesting way to view, not only accept but train one’s sz. the video was by an explorer very intelligent wise man and the video ended with a quote from albert einstein giving his opinion on ego is a phrase regarding the nocive way of life accepted and practiced by most people. so i today researched quotes of albert eintein regarding ego because maybe these quotes are not accurate but the one i saw yesterday in the video surely was. so i believe these quotes are accurate. he thought this way.
i understand. i work too but i dont feel pride. i dont feel pride at all. i think everyone and everything is different. i have a job i can do. i dont compare people. like for what you write there is a judgment method to give it a grade for its quality. i can say i surely think it is beautiful, unique, and needs no judment or qualifying. it just is. and it is absolutely perfect as it could not be different. i dont care about people’s opinions. so my work i dont care what people think of it. i care that it sells because it is how i pay for my life. i dont even check the competition, never had, try to the best in my ability and go from there. absolutely believe anyone can get as good as me given discipline, study, and practice. dont feel special for it.
I have mixed feelings about these quotes. On some level they make sense, but ego is often what motivates people to do extraordinary things. I don’t think Bill Gates created his software solely out of an urge to help humanity, he did it, at least partially, out of a hunger for success. Ego motivates athletes to do stupendous things in their sports. I agree that you should strive to overcome your ego once you have succeeded, but ego is what gets people started.
i don’t know what motivated bill gates. i do software for windows and the API for developers was entirely thought and layed down in 1996 or something like that in a way taht not so much has changed to this day just to give you an idea of how intelligent Bill Gates is. You know his first success was a software for a medical equipment when he was an adolescent. that gave him his first projection. I think he overcame his ego at this point but i cant really tell.
true. not bragging thou. i defend my honor so i am not completely ego free although honor is not totally social related. it is deeper. I dont brag about it, i just found interesting that albert einstein shares my point of view. i see the egoistic way of life we choose to believe, not me, the majority of people I mean, competition, is the wrong way to go because it divides people, it grades people, it generates hate and so many useless nocive concepts born out of the comparison mechanism as main actuator. We as a race are in civil war within ourselves and in war between nations because we choose to believe we are competing.
