Akathisia common?

Any anti psychotic I’ve been on has caused akathisia and right now it’s dreadful to cope. I do take max doses though.

Anyone else get this problem? Like restless or really painful in legs.

I like staying on max dose for symptom relieve. Tried pramipoxeole, procyclidine, pregablin and propanolol that should aim to target this akathisia and nothings worked.

Tbf I am looking for a med change as olanzapine has been too heavy for appetite increase and leading to unwanted weight gain.

Being well but in pain and have it much harder to maintain a good physique as a consequence isn’t becoming worth it

When I was on abilify it was like being on crack. The darn akathisia would never stop. I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t sit, it was crazy.

Geodon is the only AP that’s given me akathisia. It was like restless leg syndrome on steroids! I tried to walk it off but it was too much, the worst experience I’ve ever had…i can understand wanting to change off olanzapine. It made me a food monster.

I take Geodon and get pretty bad akathisia. My psychiatrist allows me to take a tiny dose of Klonopin 0.25mg twice a day to help because I can’t take beta blockers. Beta blockers limit my exercise tolerance and being a runner I can’t take beta blockers. When I’m on beta blockers my blood pressure gets too low when I run and it makes me pass out

Same I stopped taking beta blockers. 3 hours in gym back to 1 hour. Football I can actually run now lol.

I was on latuda and it did bad things to me. One thing it did was RLS. I’m grateful I’m off now.
