I’ve shared this before but my aunty who’se sz aff is doing some post grad work on psychosis and how it relates to philosophy. A bit above my head but she needs some Aussie people to do a short ( 10 or so minutes ) survey about their experience of psychosis.
It’s been approved by the University and run by staff here so if your an Australian who hasn’t done it yet it would be great if you could volunteer a little time to help her out. I won’t put the details here but Message me and I can send you the link. and answer any questions you have.
It’s an interesting perspective. Australians are a little more down to earth with their humor but can be merciless. We don’t like individuals over others or the community so it’s different from how American humor works for sure. It was so much fun living over there being an Australian. You could get away with so much and my American friends would take most of what I said seriously.
It really is different from the US and UK. As I say. Most of our tv is from both countries and even Europe has had a huge affect on our culture. Most Australians are recent immigrants so there’s that as well…
You have an interesting take on it but your right it’s very different to your media.
It’s not comedy but here they broadcasted ‘Married at First Sight Australia’. It was a very popular show with high ratings because of all the drama. My sister and mom also watched so I watched a bit as well.
Some participants even flew in to Belgium because they were considered celebreties and could get payed gigs.
