I was just thinking and realised you all have accents
I don’t have an accent ;). You do.
Would love to hear you all talk… Put voices to the name
I’ve been told I have an accent and I live in California.
I have a hard time understanding people with accents, I skyped with a gal from England today and had to say what a few times
Me too its a skill I need to develop cos it really bothers some people when you ask them to repeat again and again
My hearing is not so good, especially higher pitches (woman’s voices) so it is a little more difficult for me. I do wear a head set instead of speakers which helps a bit.
So what? Who cares.
everyone says they expected my voice to be deeper than it is lol. its kind of neutral sounding but i guess people guess itll sound deep and are surprised when its not that deep
I do. It would just make things seem more real.
I’ve got a UK South accent
Accents don’t bother me. I guess because I’ve heard so many different people talk online and on Youtube, etc.
No, just me…
I understand most accents unless they’re really thick.
If someone has a thick accent, it makes me feel like they aren’t really trying to make themselves understood.
I have a Scandinavian accent, but I’ve been told I sound Finnish or German because I grew up in a place with a more monotone way of speaking, as opposed to the southern Norwegians and Swedes who sing when they talk.
i have a Scottish accent lol, some people have no clue what i am saying lol i’m like ‘do you even speak English’ lol
Lol! Some English people can’t understand what I say too.
plenty of linguists actually consider there to be a language known as ‘scots’ which is very close to english but its own language. it just sounds like a really really thick scottish accent to the point of sounding only partially like its english
I try to make myself as clear as possible but some people are still like ‘what?’ i think its bc i speak low and soft i think lol
hey @anon80629714 maybe we could skype some time and you could hear my accent Do you have an accent?
I have a reguler American accent but I can also do a German accent effortlessly too cause I’m German, and i can do a swiss/bavarian accent easily too haha. It’s like singing while talking like someone else mentioned!
