If I didn’t smoke cigarettes I would have committed suicide. I can tell, and I know it without a doubt.
Oh, not me. I just prefer the euphoric feeling about them. That and despite my current nutritious lifestyle, and being a fairly healthy asexual person who sometimes goes for long walks (or as I prefer to call it with good humour “roams around like a dinosaur”) I have come to the conclusion that I would prefer to die before the only person I have had sexual relations with, that and for some reason, it feels like I can feel it when that person is having sexual relations with others. Thus, I smoke often so as not to focus on that aspect of life. Of course, all that is part of the symptoms and a delusion, there is no telepathy or psychic connection. Psyche being the soul and all, heh. Anyhow, I can relate to your thoughts, Jake. Matter of fact, if your online handle was Jeff, I might just choose to go out for another smoke right now. Odds are I will anyhow. Cheer up, Jake. We only live once, after all.
I recently quit smoking for 9 months. I felt good physically but I felt bad mentally. I’m going to quit again as soon as I get my own place and get away from the smokers. It’s just too hard to not smoke when you’re around someone who smokes.
A valid point about smoking cigarettes. Indeed, around people who smoke, smoking is seemingly normal. I spent some months this year as well as last not smoking and I found i’d sob like a little girl about twice as often as I do now quietly when I find some alone time in my room.
I tried vaping as a replacement, but just wasn’t the same. Someday, I need to quit too.
When I quit my allergies were so much better. And my lungs felt better.
Yeah, I quit for a year or 2 myself. You can definitely breathe better…and smell better and taste better even.
yes and you don’t smell bad and don’t have bad breath lol
The only thing was when I quit I was still using lozenges. I couldn’t get off the nicotine
I quit cold turkey. It was hard. and it obviously didn’t last.
I’m sorry. Maybe it will last next time you quit.
I quit smoking for about 30 minutes or so half an hour ago.
