Its a partial dopamine agonist like Abilify and Rexulti.
Honestly I liked Latuda best of all meds I have tried but I have a feeling that 80mg wasn’t enough to fully stop my positive symptoms and the bit of catatonia.
Did antidepressants fix these then?
Nothing fixed them satisfactorily. I’m treatment resistant. I’ve tried all kinds of different medications. The best so far was the combination of methylphenidate and buprenorphine.

Your Dr prescribed this narcotic? Its for physical pain like morphine?
As far as psychotic symptoms are concerned, the most effective one in my experience is trimipramine.

Wow it blocks dopamine D2 receptors like antipsychotics and its still called an antidepressant.
Yes, one of my psychiatrists, the one of them who has helped me most, because he was willing to listen to unconventional suggestions. He’s retired now.

I tried cogentin for stiff neck on Risperdal and other meds. Not sure if that would help, but it also had some weird effects like blocking past life memories and gave me a pleasurable feeling in my head.
I am staying on Risperdal, 0 side effects and 0 positive symptoms. All other meds I tried either had serious side effects and/or positive symptoms which all suck more than negative symptoms.
That’s good. It’s better to be safe and not work or do nothing, then have crazy positives and strange behavior. Maybe there will be something for negatives some day…
I had that too on 80mg Latuda.
