Abilify is said to he the least side effect ridden AP…while its better than invega the restlessness just sucks big time…i read on other forums that recovery can take anywhere from 6 to 9 months is this true?
What do you mean by recovery? I have been recovering for decades.

Are you talking about recovering from side-effects after changing an AP or recovering from schizophrenia? Because the majority of people with a schizophrenia diagnosis never recover - we just manage it to varying degrees of success.

Recovery from side effects
It depends on the med and the person, I think. It took a month for the side-effects from Geodon to fade after I finally stopped it, and I was on a low dose.

I finally got completely off abilify last month and I’m finally starting to feel better… Abilify really messed me up
I’m on abilify 2.5 mg and hate it but better than the invega sustena or trinza I was on. It makes me feel rough and tired . I’d that what’s wrong? I’m on abilify but couldn’t really understand question
I just started abilify and i actually feel more alive. Im also on haldol but tapering that down

I think the recovery, and the side effects vary from individual to individual.
A few tips on things that confuse newbies:
Cake day is the anniversary date of when you joined.
The 1515 or other numbers at the end of peoples posts are because there’s a 15 character minimum to post. So people put 15s after until they get to the minimum characters to post.
