Just started today. We’ll see how this month goes. I can always revert to pill format after the trial.

Do you use abilify for motivation? My pdoc tells me that abilify increases motivation to people

Abilify makes me lethargic, gives me weight gain and decreased libido. But it beats being skinnier, more energetic and crazy I suppose.

In the butt or arm?

In the hip, just above my left butt cheek. Nurse said it was too much to take in the arm.
It is too much for the arm! I got it in the arm for the first 2 or 3 times and I could barely lift my arm past my chest! It hurt so bad for a week. ugh. no arm!

Haldol did some good things for me. It is the only medication I have taken that helped in any way at all with my negative symptoms. They eventually took me off it, though. I was to hyped up on it.

How bad does your arm hurt the following day?

When I did abilify injection I would take 300 mg in the arm and then take 5-15 mg oral, (it started off as 5 mg, then I went up to 15 mg)…but like I would take some oral and always have the backup of the injection incase I forgot my dose…unless you wanna save yourself a medication purchase at the pharmacy.

They give you it above the butt cheek. You don’t need to drop your trousers. Is more in your hip.

after a monthly injection, my arm can hurt severely bad if i sleep on it. if i sleep on the other arm, not much pain
hurts like you can lift it to the chest, but any farther results in soreness, but it can be lifted, so that’s an improvement from day 1.
It was weak, too.

Why did you stop?
I switched back to Geodon because I miss my old ‘hot’ body 
I am overweight now.
