Hello. Last Thursday I was put on the injection form of Abilify. Now I can’t really sleep. I’m wide awake at 5 am going to sleep at 12. I even take a sleeping pill which is the only reason I think I sleep a little. I also take two tablets of Saphris at night that the dr. said should make me sleepy. Is this a common thing? Do you think it will go away? I kind of went from sleeping 12hrs to only sleeping 4 hours. Thanks!

Abilify should actually have a sedative effect. Or no effect on sleep. Are you sure it’s the ap?
Definitely let your doc know. It could be the med. What’s your diagnosis? Could you be manic right now?
When I got on Abilify injection I found it very activating.
It was hard to sleep and difficult to keep my mind from racing.
I ended up having to take an additional medication for the anxiety it caused and then a sleep aid.

Abilify can be activating for many people.
It was for me.

I’m diagnosed schizophrenic. possibly schizoaffective we are still seeing about that. My mind is racing so much and I’m talking a lot. Thanks everyone!
