Abilify injection versus abilify pills…
Have you had experience with both?
Notice any differences?
Or just what are the injections like in particular?

I had both i found the pills make you more sleepy i was coming home from work going straight to sleep whereas the injection didnt have that side effect overall the injection was better for me

Does the injection last longer? I feel like by the time it’s time to take my pill every night I’m starting to lose it. Maybe that’s all in my head though, or I need to up my dose.

I prefer the injection of Abilify as it doesn’t give me dry mouth and I don’t have to worry about forgetting to take my medication. 400mg every 4 weeks.

What is that the equivalent to in a daily pill? 20mg a day?

I only know of the 5mg Abilify pill but there could be other dosages.
Is this the equivalent of 5mg abilify ?

I don’t know if an injection of 400mg of Abilify is equivalent to a daily intake of a 5mg pill. Drugs in liquid form are not the same as those in pill form.
I’m not a pharmacologist or a psychiatrist who studies these anti-psychotic drugs.

The minimum dose of abilify for sz is 10 mg pill…
I dont know about injection…

I don’t know anything about the injection except for the fact that for the injection 300mg is the lowest theraputic dose.

I just hope there is an injection dose as low as 5mg abilify pill cos I would not wanna go on anything higher. I will ask my CPN and Pdoc, thanks for your help.

I am perplexed now, because my pdoc wants to bump me above 10mg because I’ve built up a tolerance and she’s told me about people taking up to 30mg…
She isn’t trying to poison me, right? Someone please help to clarify.

I have seen people taking 15 mg and 20mg…!!! Its normal dont worry…!!!

I’m on Abilify injection 400mg and asked my doctor what the pill equivalent is,
He said it was somewhere between 15-20mg everyday.

When I was in abilify for years I was on 30mg. It’s a perfectly normal dose.
