Got up to go to toilet, fill water bottle, and then make a hot drink. As I put the bottle on the kitchen top I noticed a cooker ring was on, with tea towel on it starting to burn. I managed to get the tea towel off the cooker and place it in cold water. I have no idea how the ring got on!

That’s why I got mad at my ex-housemate when he left his lighter on the stove next to a burner. It only takes once for someone to turn on a burner without thinking. You got off lucky.

I think I must’ve accidentally nudged the dial while standing up from the wheelchair , and holding onto the side.It hadn’t really registered with me that there was a tea towel on the cooker’s surface.

I keep all flammables on opposite side of the room, as the stove.
