Evidently the cat peed in my heating vent cos I turned on the heat and it smells like cat pee in my room. What do I do? @anon4362788
If a cat peed in my heater vent I would remove the vent cover and wash it in a strong bleach solution. Then I would unfold a metal coat hanger and attach a piece of a rag soaked in strong bleach solution and use it to wash down the inside of the heater vent. I would let it dry before turning the heater back on.
Is it a male cat? If so it’s not pee, it’s ‘spray’. I s the car neutered? A neutered male cat will joy spray nearly as much as a non-neutered male cat.
I would never have a male cat because of this. Female cats don’t spray like male cats do
I’d find an enzyme spray that is for urine if @Leaf 's tips didn’t work.
All my males are neutered and don’t spray. If you get them early, they never will.
Getting rid of the cat would be my first order of business.
