I actually read what my pdoc wrote on my disability forms last year and it said I had a severe form of bipolar disorder mixed type with psychosis.

Another mouthful lol.

I said Sz. Originally I was diagnosed SzA. After I was evaluated in the psychiatric ward they said Sz in 2008.

I used to have mood swings according to my mom, but now I don’t seem to have any. I take an antidepressant now along with my antipsychotic.

My pdoc tried reducing my antipsychotic, but I started hallucinating and having delusions again. The dosage of my AP is right back where it was.

originally dx’d with schizophrenia and major depressive disorder. New pdoc just gave me the Sza diagnosis, so idk. I voted “schizophrenia” in this poll, though.

I am waiting for my pdoc to get back at me.

Since @everhopeful posted that article,

i found reason to believe i have manic with psychosis.

next week i will probably find out.

the best part is that theres not much stigma attach to it !

Personally I think all mental health disorders should be given opaque names. Names without meaning.

Stuff like that so that we can eliminate stigma and increase inclusiveness.

Accidentally pressed schizoaffective, but I’m actually diagnosed with schizophrenia. There is somewhat of a mood component to my illness, so I’m not sure why they settled on plain old schizophrenia. But I don’t really care that much about the label to be honest. :expressionless:

I was diagnosed in my early 20s with Schizoaffective and GAD General Anxiety Disorder. Plus, I sometimes can’t focus for very long but never been told that except by my mom I also recently started taking Metformin cause my Insulin Level is too high been on it for about three months now plus a blood pressure/water pill. Blood pressure is fine always had been, but I take it for the water pill in it.

Originally psychosis nos but then relapsed after stopping meds. When I got admitted to the hospital after 2yrs of being off meds they changed it to sz.

The hospital originally diagnosed me with sz… then a couple years later when I got put back in the hospital they said schizoaffective…

My prescriber put me on antidepressants to go along with the ap’s and then I went off the antidepressant while pregnant and there was no difference… so idk, prolly just schizophrenia🤷‍♀️
