Maybe she was just being friendly because she saw something nice about you or she liked something’ about you. How is that a waste?

That woman probably didn’t want anything from you or expect anything from you except maybe a smile back. People do nice things without ulterior motives or expecting anything in return. Didn’t it feel at least a little good? Or doesn’t it make you feel at least a little good now, after the fact? You don’t have to marry her but just a nod or an effort to smile would have sufficed if you could.

I also don’t smile when ppl smile. Its the negative symptoms like apathy.
