I don’t think your window to the soul must be evil because today you looked weary. With your talk of bitterness recently, perhaps that.
Enough with the malignant self talk and the eyes will be bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Evil
The bird I held is now bloodied a bit
and the song once pure now holds a little hate.
And though it still eats from the hand
it hesitates.
