A nightmarish fear of failure

I inherited it from my mother. It’s a nuisance to try to deal with it. It’s also somewhat lazy.

I have a big fear of failure, so much so that I will avoid doing things. Which of course is an automatic failure anyway.

It caused me to ruin my career at school

Apart from a brief ,unsuccessful attempt to do a history A level by correspondence course I’ve never pursued studying. That was because of my fear of failure because I knew I had problems, which I later found to be called learning difficulties.

I’m not afraid of failure because it is a foregone conclusion that I already am

I would stop blaming your parents but that’s just my opinion. I blamed mine for a few years. I can only blame myself.

I’m not blaming her as much as I’m saying I’m like her. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
