I finally brought my new 9 week chocolate lab home!
She’s adorable but keeping me on my toes!
She’s sleeping in the crate now so I can unwind a bit.
She is so small now and young.
I started with some housebreaking rules but she’s really too young to properly go outside on a leash but I took her on leash today in my back yard for a little bit so she can start getting used to it.
She is beautiful and comes from champion bloodlines.
My brother and his lovely girlfriend came with us to pick up the pup.
Yeah, I second @Moonbeam. My sister had a black lab. Friendliest dog to those who he knew. I didn’t know if this is typical of that breed but if you came in the front door and he was waiting there he would get really submissive and flop on his back and pee a little. Couldn’t break him of the habit. Contrarily, he was aggressive towards strangers who came to our door and he was a medium sized dog and he scared people.
IDK if that’s typical of labradors but otherwise he was a great, loving, affectionate, smart dog. And good looking too.
