I know a lot of people on this forum have been on a variety of medications. In your experience, which was the least sedating? I slept for a total of 16 hours today. That is just not going to cut it for me. Thanks.
Latuda was the least, Loxapine was the most for me. It all varies person to person.
Abilify has me sleeping 3 hours a day right now. For the last 5 weeks. I want to sleep more so much. I’m seeing my pdoc next Tuesday so maybe I can get something to help me sleep more.
3 hours a day? It’s too bad we can’t do a trade!
Abilify had opposite effect on me, I could not sleep for the life of me… I really wanted to sleep but couldn’t. I just got use to respiredone sedating effect. I’m on invega injection and I am sleeping alright: not over sleeping and not under sleeping. Just feel like I’m not get deep sleep on it. But maybe you could try taking your meds earlier like around 5-6pm. See if that helps…
Invega has not been sedating for me. I have Remeron for sleeping and antidepressant.
Ability for sure. That stuff will keep you up instead
For me, Abilify makes me extremely tired all the time.
My Zyprexa gives me insomnia, so I take it when I get up early around 6:30 a.m. and then I take Melatonin at bedtime to get to sleep. The Zyprexa gives me good energy throughout the day. I no longer take naps. I sleep around nine hours a night and that’s good for me.
Fair warning, I’ve heard most people find Zyprexa sedating, but it’s not that way for me.
Latuda, Amisulpride, Abilify (Made me too awake) and Haldol (Made me a robot with movement problems)
Invega is least sedating I need a sleep aid with it
Buspar is not so bad.
I’m on paliperidone and it’s not sedating. Oh I alsontwke a tiny dose of abilify too. And that isn’t either.
Latuda and abilify. Except I couldn’t sleep a wink on abilify. Rexulti isn’t too bad, it makes me tired, but I sleep normal hours on it.
Thanks for the replies! I’ll try taking it earlier in the day.
